Colton Haynes says that he has always known that he was gay ever since the first grade. However, he chose not to come out until the age of 27 fearing that it might affect his acting career negatively. However, in a response to a tweet from a fan, he confirmed that he is indeed gay and went on to reveal more details about his personal life. He also said that his father committed suicide just because Colton turned out to be gay.
