The Chinese Authorities were strict about everything. They even had limited time for mourning. These mourning rules were known as “Yili”. The Chinese Imperial Government ordered that the death of a child younger than seven years won’t call for a funeral. Also, if a baby under 3 months dies, the parents can only mourn and cry for a single day. Nothing seems to have changed much in recent times.
